Ce groupe allemand a été créé par Edgar Froese à la fin des années 60. Le premier album est sorti en 1970 avec la collaboration de Klaus Schulze. Ce dernier quitte peu après le groupe pour entamer une carrière en solo. D' années en années les musiciens se succèdent auprés d' Edgar Froese : Chris Franke, Peter Baumann, Steve Shroyder, Johannes Schmoelling, etc...Toujours actifs, une série de concerts est actuellement en cours. Année 2000 : Leur dernier album est "Great Wall of China".
