I had my first camera at the 10 years old. It was a  6x6 camera toy “HOLGA” type which one of my uncles had gained  at tombola in a luna park. I kept it until the ageof 14 years old when, after having gained my first wages during a holidays  job I bought the kit “bag jean” of AFGA with Agfamatic. At 18 years old, in 1972, after again a holidays job (at that time unemployment did not exist), I could buy what was my dream at that time, Minolta STR 101 with the 1.7/50mm lens.

At this time, I was president of the photo club of the technical high-school where I prepared my degree of technician in plastic processing. Already, my dream (inacessible) was to have Hasselblad. But for lack of thrushes… I continued to make some portraits in 6x6 with the LUBITEL of a buddy and with my SRT 101 equiped with its 1.7/50mm and 2X converter FOCA brand .

Then, entered the active life :work, marriage, children => Family photographies without much interest from a creativity point of view. Then, I did macro-photographies with my Minolta without enthusiasm.

During several year, I continued to make family photographies, which brought me more frustration than satisfaction. In addition, the quality of printing even by“specialists” was more than poor: negative were striped, stained, yellowished colors, etc. I thus moved away from photography and I did not do anything for several years.
