>1 You're now new comer into the metal scene, what's the story of your band & can you introduce us with each members?
Well, the history of Furious Trauma goes way 'til
1988, so that is a very long story, so, a new comer would be a wrong way
to put it, but a way to get the more specific information on our history,
you can check out our new homepage, it ain't finished yet, but it will
be in a week or two. On this homepage you will find the most specific details
in the history of FT. The address is www.furioustrauma.dk
About introducing the guys to you, I will. On the drums we've got Morten
Nielsen, former drummer of Mercyful Fate, and on the bass we've got the
dude of all dudes Mr. Claus Weiergang, playing one of the guitars is Lars
Mayland and last but not least, myself, Lars Schmidt doing the vocals and
>2 What are your influences?
Our main influence, is the type of mood we're in and the feelings we have at the time of composing/writing, and that is one of the reasons why we don't sound like anybody else, I guess, and thats why we don't make the same record twice, our next one will probably be something different from what we have done so far, we don't like repeating our selves, or to sound like some other band, you know. we don't need to hear other peoples music to be able to write ourselves.
>3 How do you define your style ?
I'll define it as our style, you may call it metal,
thrash 'n' roll you may call it whatever you want, but it all comes down
to 1 thing, and that is our style, solid rock from Denmark, (the land of
the true vikings).
>4 Your music is maybe one pf the most refreshing one nowadays. Is it a reaction facing the extreme metal scene which sounds really weight & with no powerful?
Thanx man, nice to know you think that of our
new stuff, appreciate that, but the extreme metal scene has nothing to
do with the way we do and have done things, it's just a natural development,
in our case.
>5 Tell us more about the recording of your album?
We did the recording of "Roll the dice" in my
studio, SoundZone Studio here in Copenhagen, I produced and mixed the album
together with Mik Christensen,
and all in all we have spend about a month doing the album.
>Does it take you a lot of time to get such an excellent result?
Well, it depends on different things, but in our
case, with "Roll the dice"
>6 What do you think about bands spending 6 months & sometimes years to record their album?
Well, that depends on if the music is written before entering the studio or if it's written in the studio, but anyway they must have their reasons for spending 6 months or more recording an album.
>7 What are your projects for 1999?
Promoting ourselves as much as possible.
>8 You 've played with th ebest metal bands (Mercyful fate, ....) What did you learn more by playing with such great artists & bands?
To be quite hornest, not that much, but it was fun, with one exception, Gorefest, they suck, with them we didn't have any fun at all, they treated us in a way we have never been treated before, actually they are one of the smallest headliners we have been supporting, but the worst opening act experiences we have ever had, and that we can't say of Motorhead, Kreator, Entombed, Artillery, Mercyful Fate etc. they were all great, with them we had a really good time. So you can say that we learned one thing. How it can be and how it shouldn't be
>9 Mikael Denner is one of the guest on this album. In which songs did he play guitar?
On track 5, "The fifth season"
>10 I thought Mickael was tired of metal . How do you explain that he 's accepted to come & play with you?
I don't know if he's tired of metal, thats for
him to answer, but what I can say is that he didn't hesitate to say yes
when we asked him, and for that we're very thankful.
>11 You've signed with a french company. Can you epxlain us more about this deal? why have you chosen Season of mist?
