1 Your first album is impressive of qualities. How long did it take to create songs ?

1.The first two rehearsals with our new drummer (Tony Mei) we wrote the music to"Over the Edge" and "Kingdom". The following three months we played 4 times a week and we began to mesh together and develop our direction of the band. We began recording about the same time that we started playing out live with the new material and the performances helped to polish our sound for the studio.

2 Tell us about the recording sessions?

2. This is the first time that Andre' was ever in the studio so we can't wait to see how he sounds in the future as his voice develops more and more! The basic tracks were recorded over a few days(THE CAKE) but (THE FROSTING) the leads, vocals, and backup vocals took a couple months to really polish, produce, and organize. The CD was self produced.

3 Do you get the support of a record company?

3. No, we forked out all the cash ourselves (OUCH)!

4 Is there some advices that you'd like to give to a band that's going to sign a contract with a company or a mangement one?

4. Remain self sufficient as long as possible, there are many things a band can do itself without the help of a record company taking a percentage. We cannot be ones to give anyone advice TO DATE WE ARE NOT SIGNED! If there is a band out there reading this that is signed, feel free to e-mail me advise!!!!!

5 Do you now search for a record company or distributors to spread your name?

5. We are interested in finding a deal that will promote XFX on the large scale that we would like, tour support, distribution, dedication to us, and international promotion. You know the usual.

6 You've already played with famous bands? Which ones? What was your favorite one?

6. We have played with Warrant, Great White, Slaughter, and Overkill to name a few. We have had great turnouts with these bands in our area. At some shows, we have drawn more people than the national bands.

7 Did you have good conditions of concert with them?

7. We thought it was really cool of Jani Lane of Warrant to wear an X FACTOR X shirt during thier set. We have always gotten along very well with the bands that we have played with.

8 What are your projects?

8. X Factor X is currently immersed in new material and we keep trying out new songs live to find out what works the best. We are also gearing up to tour anywere and everywhere in the coming year. We have just completed our new live sound and light show (with our own high tech lights and lasers)Chris has jammed with Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister) ,Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Jeff Scott Soto, Graham Bonnet, Bob Kulick, Mitch Perry, Greg D'Angelo (White Lion), and Dan Reed. Chris has taken lessons with Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big), John Aldrette (Racer X), and Jeff Berlin. Also, Chris record has recorded T.V and Radio Commercials and instrumental music with John Erskin Riley and Dave Barcos (Maliah Rage). The band is also currently shopping for endorsements: John endoreses Gibson Strings and John and Chris endorse Hipshot. Tony spends lots of time and money at the casino playing poker. Andre' is currently trying to pay off his car and his credit cards!

9 Heavy metal makes a come back. this is a great luck for you. What's your opinion about this "revival"?

9. It is great luck that this style of music is becoming popular again because we sound this way regardless of what is popular. We plan on expanding our sound and our show our own way. This music comes straight from our heart!

10 YOur cover is quite different form the main HM bands. Is there any idea or concept behind the picture?

10. We want the cover to capture essence of our music. We want to evoke nightmarish dangerous images but in a non-menacing way. We also want to convey the quality of our music by having a very high quality image to match our music.

11 A last word?
