The "Jason" Association was formed in 1989. Its aim is purchase all the horses that, for reasons of health or old age, have come to the end of their useful life at the Cysoing Riding Club.

The horses are then found a new home with families who agree to provide them with food, care and affection.

In order to become a host family, certain criteria must be met, including the provision of :
- a field with a shelter or a stable
- a suitable companion for the retired horse (another horse, a pony, a donkey or a goat for example)
- enough free time for at least on visit on day.

The association retains the ownership of the horse an males regular visits to check on his well-being.

Since 1989, the following horses have been bought :

JASON : a dark bay gelding, born in 1975. This first candidate for retirement was bought in 1989 and gave his name to the association. For 8 years now, the fresh air and rich grass of Bouvignies have kept him in great shape !

FIN AVRIL : a dark bay gelding, born in 1971, also bought in 1989. After spending a few months in the grounds of a manor situated at the top of the Mont d'Halluin, he was adopted by a family living in Belgium, where he shard his oats with numerous other animals. He was e real family pet ! Sadly, he succumbed to an illness in June 1993.

GONDOLE : a chestnut mare, born in 1972. Since 1991 she has shared her retirement home with a pony called Jeanette at Templeuve, where they were joined by the next horse to retire Jovial.

JOVIAL : a dark bay gelding, born in 1975, he went to join Gondole and Jeanette in June 1995, and since that date they have formed a inseparable threesome !

KEHAILAN : a bay mare, born in 1976. She was sold by the riding club to a person who soon found she could no longer look after the horse. The association therefore bought back the mare in 1993 and placed her at livery on a farm at Nomain

JULIETTE : a bay mare, born in 1975, retired in December 1994. She went to join Kehailan at Nomain, where she also found her dam, Aire de Sartilly, now aged 32 ! Tragically, in March 1996, Juliette had a nasty fall and had to be put down.

SCHROUMPF : the first pony to be bought by the association, this dun-coloured children's favourite became permanently lame and had to be retired from the club in July 1995 He became the companion of a horse which had been lonely in his field at Wattrelos.

KOURSEUL : a dark bay mare, born in 1976, was bought from the club in December 1995 After e few months spent on a farm near Hazebrouck, she had to be removed when her stable companion, a young carthorse, injured her while out in the field. Since March 1996, she has been happily installed at Nomain, where she shares her pasture with Kehailan and Mylord, a 17 year-old chestnut gelding who "lords" it over the two mares !

VOLVO : a chestnut gelding, born in 1987, he had to take early retirement in May 1996, because of back and hock problems. After spending a few month at Nomain, he found a host family at Baisieux.

NELSON : a bay gelding, born in 1979 and SONIA a chestnut mare born in 1984, were lucky enough to be adopted together in 1996 by a family living at the foot of the Mont Cassel.

SARAH : a carthorse, is the only mare that doesn't come from the Cysoing Riding Club. Her poor condition and her owner's intentions were such that the president of the association was moved to save her. Since 1993, she has been making herself useful on an education farm at Lomme.
